Squirrelz Stash Bash: The Edge of Spring

Welcome back everyone! Whether you're a longtime reader or coming here for the first time from the amazing Lounon, I'm excited to see you!

The Squirrel Squad and I are back again this month with a new challenge! This month, we focused on stamping or die cutting along the edge. The technique was die cutting or stamping on the edge. This is another technique that I was interested in, but had somehow never gotten around to trying. To top it all off, the theme was spring and boy was this whole card not easy on me!

The Squirrel Squad and I are back again this month with a new challenge! This month, we focused on a botanical theme with a specific color palette. Much like last month's sketch challenge, this is not quite like anything I'd done before. So what's a squirrel to do in a situation like that? Trust that your stash will get you through!

3x1 Challenge: Two Sympathy Cards

I knew I wanted to make a sympathy card next. I wanted to focus on a Clean and Simple (CAS) design. What I didn't realize was that I would have an idea for a second card on the heels of the first. I made a video working through the design process of each.

There's no better way to maintain the momentum of a challenge than to launch in as quickly as possible making the first card! It helped to have an immediate birthday card image pop into my head! I have been crafting way less than I hoped I would be by now (moving is a terror and takes way longer to recover from than I ever seem to remember). But there's nothing like a hop to light the fire under my butt and make sure I get at least one thing created! As you may have guessed from the picture, the Squirrel Squad and I are back with a hop, but we've refreshed it some! We've given it a new name (Squirrelz Stash Bash because we are busting through that stash and we are celebrating it!), and a sassy new logo (thanks Anna!). We've also given ourselves some new parameters to work in. This month, we focused on a theme of Love and Friendship. We decided this month it would be fun to be inspired by a sketch! Read on to see where this took me!
