Hello and welcome back! Whether you're a longtime reader or coming here for the first time from the Lovely Lounon, I'm excited to see you! Thanks for checking out our hop.
We all have celebrations we are preparing for. So for this hop, we decided to do a project for our favorite holiday! Bet you can't guess which one I picked!
If you read the title, I'll bet you were guessing Christmas! I adore Christmas, but the last few years, I've found myself getting REALLY excited about Halloween! So here we are!
I will have to admit from the get-go that I forgot to track which stamp set I used. I will have to share that later. But here's what I DO know! The paper that I stamped it on has been with me since I got serious about paper crafting 20-something years ago! Apparently my very first lesson was "don't use the paper! You on;y have so much and you don't want to waste it!" Well, I'm kind of over that now. Up and away, I grabbed three sheets of this lightweight paper and stamped a pumpkin on each one. I then fussy-cut them out and roughly positioned them. When I was happy, I sketched in shadows for each one with a gray pencil just to give them a little weight. I glued them to their shadows, stamped a Happy Halloween, then glued that to a mat, layered onto an ivory base.
This was a simple card to make, and sometimes that's exactly what you need! And I'm excited to make some more and use up this paper! Oh! and share Happy Halloween wishes to some cool ghouls!
If I am your first stop on the hop, then you should really keep going to see the amazing creations of my fellow Squirrel Squad! Your next stop: the Creative Karen!
