Today's post is a chance to immediately send some love out into your world. This idea was inspired by all the versions of "elfing" or "booing" your neighbors/coworkers that start around Halloween and go right through Christmas. I never seem to quite have my act together during the holidays, but now is not the holidays so I'm totally going to knock this out of the ballpark! Now might be the time to mention I can be charmingly naïve sometimes. Either way, it's an excuse to hug people without them knowing! That's only half as creepy as it sounds! And twice as easy with the free printable I've created for you!
Home Version
With a vintage feel and black and white graphics, this will accommodate any copier and be completely gender neutral. I also carefully kept them from being saucy (which was easy enough, although there were some vintage temptations) or sarcastic (much harder for me. Hey! You try looking at a vintage woodcut of someone running with a knife and see if you don't want to caption it "I've been hugged").
Ready to hug a couple of neighbors or coworkers? Just print out the home or work version, make copies, and slide them into a small box or bag with some nibbles or other goodies. Keep in mind: this shouldn't be a pricey endeavor! Next, covertly leave them where your neighbors or work mates will find them and feel the love! Now go forth and make everyone love your hugs!
And see you again tomorrow for Day 2 of my 14 Days of Love series!
