Reading: Dickens' Fur Coat and Charlotte's Unanswered Letters by Daniel Poole. This is a fascinating study of how the literary scene developed and changed in Victorian England.
Also reading: Creative Quest by Questlove. I feel like he has done it all and has collaborated with everyone (or can if he wants to). Why wouldn't I dive into a chance to see how he does it? I'm always interested in the creative process.
Watching: Corner Gas: Season 5. I had a chance to visit Toronto for a work conference. While I didn't actually get the chance to really see much of the city, Corner Gas was my great non-work takeaway from the trip! I accidentally tuned into it one morning while I was getting ready and found myself almost instantly hooked. It seems like the very basic sitcom set-up, but the writing is so sharp and dry and the actors all have this natural chemistry that you just can't help but be drawn to.
